Mountain and foothills forests.
Adults have been collected from 25 May to 18 July.
Medium-sized black species with reddish-brown elytra. The posterior margin of the hypomeron is not notched beside the hind angles of the pronotum, and the setae on the pronotum and elytra are arranged into a whorled pattern. Length is between 10 and 15 mm.
Mountains and foothills from Waterton to Peace River. In North America, recorded from British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon and Utah.
