Adults have been collected from 29 May to 8 August.

identification
Small to medium-sized brownish-black species with silvery setae and a narrow body outline. The sides of the pronotum are convergent anteriorly, the hind angles of the pronotum bear an indistinct carina, and the apex of the hind angles when viewed from below are truncate. Length is between 9 and 11 mm.

Boreomontane forests and parklands south to Kananaskis and Cypress Hills. In North America, from Alaska and British Columbia to Newfoundland.
