Found on grasses (Bailey, 1957).
The body is not heavily reticulated. Antennae appear 9 segmented due to cleavage of segment 6. Sense cones on antennal segment 3 are simple, and on segment 4 are forked. The pronotum has prominent setae along the posterior region. Though normally macropterous, apterous forms also occur (Bailey, 1957).
