Found on prairie, though exact habitat is unknown (Chiasson, 1986).

Body is generally brown to black, antennal segment 3 is normally yellow, and the tube is brown or brownish black. Antennal segment 3 usually has only 1 apical sense cone. Metanotal sculpture ends abruptly posteriorly, not in concentric rings below the node (Stannard, 1976).
