Small, cool streams and in some lakes.
Adults are medium and rusty coloured. Forewings are yellow-brown and the hindwing, anal area is very wide. There is one single species now in this genus, A. canax.
Univoltine (Wiggins, 1996).
Not abundant (Wiggins, 1996).
Local in distribution (Wiggins, 1996).
