Adults are small and slender. Forewings are pale grey and relatively large compared to body with irrorations. Male maxillary palp is moderately developed. Legs are long and thin. Spur formula is 1, 1, 1. Adults are rather gangil, easily recognized, especially because they are found in late fall and early spring and when there are virtually no other caddisflies out (Schmid, 1998).
