This small, oval agyrtine has a large pentagonal clypeus; the antennae have the apical segments thickened into a club that is covered with uniformly short microsetae and there are a circle of white scales lying within a sharp apical ring.
This is another western species ranging from northern British Columbia to central California. In Alberta it is confined to the western mountains.
Meaning of name: "wide." It refers to the short broad shape of this species.
