life history
Very little is known about the biology of this species. Diadegma mollipla laid more female eggs in fourth instar hosts but preferred to parasitize second and third instar hosts (Nofemela 2004). Generally, male eggs are laid in smaller or poor quality hosts, while female eggs are laid in larger or better quality hosts (Murdorch et al. 1992). Based on the host instar encountered, a female makes oviposition decisions and decides the sex of each offspring (King 1993; Godfray 1994).
