Found on grasses, including rye grass (Chiasson, 1986).
Adult collected in June.
The body of this species is unicolorous. Both body and legs are dark brown, though fore tibiae of males are mottled as, occasionally, are those of the female. The wing pads are colorless, and brachypterous forms do occur (Bailey, 1951).
